Quiet Place

I don’t have to travel,
Get out in a crowd,
Put up with noise,
Unbearably loud,

To find a quiet place,
That soothes troubled soul,
Rejuvenates me,
With each new goal.

I walk cross the pasture,
Just a short way,
Sit down on the grass,
Watch nature at play.

A cloud high above,
Otherwise azure blue,
With quiet all around,
Brings peace I once knew.

I sit and I look,
At all God’s creation,
My quiet place tucked way,
In special location.

The singing of birds,
High in the trees,
Reflection in water,
Of lush green leaves.

Colors and sounds,
Soft breeze on my face,
Keep calling me back,
To my quiet place

Storms

Ominous, threatening,
And scary too,
Storm clouds form
Against skies of blue,

Reflective of all
The moods that I feel,
While I try to cope,
And struggle to deal…

With emotions that shake me,
Like violent storm,
Chilled veins within,
Yet heart that is warm.

Clouds are like life,
They are never the same,
Always they move
And always they change.

The storm clouds that gather,
High in the sky,
Reflect the sad feelings
That cause me to cry.

Yet each storm will pass,
As they always do…
Returning bright sunshine ,
To fair skies of blue.

Calming my senses
with rainbows so fair,
Like artist who paints,
With zest and some flair.

Till next storm clouds gather,
To appear once again,
With thunder and lightening,
And brief gusts of wind.

To influence my mood,
Reveal soul that is bare,
For others to see,
Yet no one to share…

The anguish within,
That cries out to be heard,
While striving to hear,
The sound of kind word.

To be held and loved,
At least for a time,
Till storm moves away,
And brings peace of mind.

Smile

There are so many things in life
That makes us smile every single day
Spring and summer are designed
To keep us happy in so many ways

The beauty of the flowers and
The fragrance that wafts through the air
For we can put them into our homes
And also pick them in order to share

The beauty of Mother Nature
Sometimes stops us where we are
We drop our jaw with amazement
And we don’t have to look very far

Animals always make us happy
Why, we can’t do anything but smile
Their antics are like a little show
They want us to watch it for awhile

A baby or a little kid know how to
Make us smile in a million ways
Once they see the grin on our face
They might do that cute thing for days

So if you don’t feel like smiling now
You’ll find in just a little while
Something funny will come to you
And you will definitely have to smile!

When its thunders the flowers shake with excitement
But before long they continue to bloom with contentment.
